Tech Focus: Streaming

When I first started in recruitment in 2010, I worked on a content technology team focussed on CDN and online video. Back then Netflix was exclusively focussed on the US, MPEG-DASH wasn’t around, Zoom hadn’t been founded, and Amazon was looking into LoveFilm in an attempt to build its streaming video business. 14 years on, my passion for the industry is as big as ever, and it feels great to be able to say that the team and I are directly responsible for at least a very small part of the growth within it every day.

Outside of work, I am an avid Gillingham FC fan and follow the England men’s team home and away. And if I am not spending time with my wife and baby boy, Joshua, you’ll probably find me eating chicken wings, sampling the best IPA’s I can get my hands on, or travelling to one of the world’s Disneyland parks.

Tech Focus: Streaming

After 4 successful years working in sales, I made the move into recruitment and haven’t looked back since. I had exposure to a couple of industries before settling on the world of Streaming Media. I love the collaborative nature of the industry through the many partner networks and have been lucky enough to visit some great cities courtesy of the many conferences Streaming Talent attend.

My focus has been on go-to-market hires for streaming vendors in both Europe and the US helping them to grow their Sales, Marketing and Product teams.

Outside of all of this I have a real passion for sports, mainly motorsport, and was previously the proud owner of a Caterham 7. I even had the chance to take it out on track at Brands Hatch, a nerve-racking experience that made me appreciate the skill of the professionals even more!

As Finance and Operations Manager at Streaming Talent, you’ll mainly find me splitting my time between overseeing and managing the financial health of the organisation, as well as optimising our company processes. Between that, I’m typically battling the boys to get my Busted or Beyonce playlist played in the office.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am a proud Mum to an amazing little boy who does a great job at keeping me on my toes. I also love to travel, spend time with friends, and I’m always on the hunt for the perfect pecan pie.
